CL4 (KJ 2578)
This Leyland Titan TD1 was new to Red Car of Tunbridge Wells in 1931, carrying a Weymann H24/24R body. Maidstone & District acquired this company in January 1935, and sold this bus six months later to LPTB in Windsor. In July 1940 it was bought by Liverpool Corporation Passenger Transport and given the fleet number 21. It was de-licensed in 1947 and saw various non-PSV uses, eventually ending up as a static canteen in a car park on Victoria Street in Liverpool City Centre, where it was used by crew of buses terminating in nearby Sir Thomas Street. It was eventually sold in 1979, by then 48 years old. If you do the maths, you will realise it is now 91 years old!
